Trump’s Secret Military Complex Revealed in Long-Winded Speech
Donald Trump made a surprising statement regarding the ongoing construction of the White House ballroom, claiming that a “massive” military complex is being built beneath it. During an interview with reporters on Sunday, he said, “There’s not one dime of government money going into the ballroom. Now, the military is building a big complex under the ballroom, which has come out recently because of a stupid lawsuit that was filed. But the military is building a massive complex under the ballroom and that’s under construction and we’re doing very well. So we’re ahead of schedule.”
Despite these claims, there has been no official confirmation of any underground bunker or military facility beneath the White House ballroom. However, media outlets such as CNN have reported on unverified stories suggesting that such a structure may be in development.

Some of the rumors surrounding the project stem from Donald Trump’s niece, who previously claimed that the president is using the demolition of the East Wing and the construction of the ballroom to secretly upgrade the White House bunker. She suggested that Trump is “paranoid” and using the project as a way to enhance security.
When Trump first unveiled the ballroom as a $200 million project earlier this year, he stated that it “wouldn’t interfere with the current building.” However, the nation was taken by surprise when his administration demolished the entire East Wing as construction of the now $300 million ballroom began.
During a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, Trump expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “This ballroom is gonna be something. It’s so beautiful for this city, so desperately needed by presidents.” He also added, “I get sued over a ballroom that’s the most beautiful ballroom in the country. You won’t have tents sitting on the wet White House lawn – if it rains, you get wiped out – to honor the president of China or the president of France.”

The White House ballroom is currently under construction, and while Trump has not officially confirmed the existence of a military complex beneath it, some believe that the military is incorporating its needs into the design. When the East Wing was controversially torn down in October to make way for Trump’s $400 million ballroom, it was thought that an emergency operations bunker located beneath it was also demolished.
Originally constructed in 1941, the bunker was designed to protect President Franklin D. Roosevelt during World War II in case of an aerial attack on Washington, D.C. The East Wing served as the traditional headquarters for the first lady and her team, but it also housed the emergency bunker. During the current construction, sources told CBS News that the bunker will receive upgrades.
Over time, the subterranean facilities evolved to serve multiple purposes, including becoming the Presidential Emergency Operations Center (PEOC), a centralized command facility for the president and his advisors. This center is designed to withstand a potential nuclear explosion or other major attacks.
However, a source familiar with the situation informed CNN this week that the formerly submarine-like bunker is now undergoing renovation and is being equipped with updated technology to counter emerging threats.

It is expected to take two years to complete the renovations. During a recent National Capital Planning Commission meeting, White House director of management and administration Joshua Fisher spoke about the ballroom project, stating that it would “enhance mission critical functionality,” “make necessary security enhancements,” and “deliver resilient, adaptive infrastructure aligned with future mission needs.”
When asked about the demolition of the East Wing without the commission’s authorization, Fisher explained that it was due to “top-secret” work happening underground. He said, “There are some things regarding this project that are, frankly, of top-secret nature that we are currently working on. That does not preclude us from changing the above-grade structure, but that work needed to be considered when doing this project, which was not part of the NCPC process.”
